2016 itamlink User Conference Highlights

Our third annual user conference, held in Chicago on October 5th, was once again an opportunity for our clients to meet and share practical examples, tips and tricks for leveraging the power of itamlink, learn more about recently added features and modules and get a preview of our development pipeline for new features and enhancements.

Presentation highlights included

  • Mordechai Katzman, kicked off the conference with an overview and objectives for the day, introductions and a recap of new itamlink developments in 2016. Most importantly, he outlined the new-for-this-year conference format that included breakout sessions, a case study presentation and a user panel focused on best practices.
    • Some of the newest features that were introduced this past year included:
      • Enhanced reporting
      • Re-designed search, and
      • Improvements to Appeals/Tax Savings and Accruals modules
    • Kevin Grad, took the stage to demonstrate how to manage jurisdiction data more efficiently using the itamlink Data Manager and the newly released Jurisdiction Manager
    • The first of our concurrent breakout sessions covered appeals and tax savings management and workflows and integrations for payment processing.
      • Immediately following a short lunch break, Connie Ellis and John Hamstra from Equity Office shared some of their best practices and how they utilize itamlink to provide a more efficient tax management process.
      • This was followed by the second of our breakout sessions on forecasting, budgeting and accruals and tips and tricks when using the Data Manager.
      • After a short break, Mordechai presented his findings on understanding user needs related to incentives, abatements and capping, and then opened the floor for some audience questions and answers.
      • The final session of the day was an engaging panel discussion on Real Estate Portfolio Analysis, moderated by Ken Rogers from Duke Realty. The panel members, Shannon Carter from Energy Future Holdings, Tammy Zambo from Phillips Edison and Norman Quinn from Equity Property Tax Group shared their experiences on how they were leveraging itamlink to better manage taxes and payments as well as benchmarking and appeal determination. It was a great session and provided some practical examples of the power and flexibility of the itamlink platform.
      • Mordechai closed the conference with a brief recap of the day along with a view forward on upcoming itamlink developments on a range of features, including updates to our Jurisdiction Manager and itamlink Docs, a new itamlink Knowledge Base and much more.
      • Discussion continued during the networking session immediately following the conference with a focus on the benefits of A/P integrations and user defined workflows.
